The SRIMATHI SUSILA RAGHAVAN – Chennai District Selection Chess Championship 2025, held on January 11th and 12th, 2025, was a momentous event for the talented players of T. Nagar Chess Academy. This prestigious tournament served as the direct selection event to the Tamil Nadu State Chess Championship across various categories.
Our students not only showcased exceptional skills but also gained invaluable exposure and learning experiences. We are thrilled to share the incredible achievements of our young champions!
Under-7 Boys: A Sparkling Start for Our Tiny Tots! T. Nagar Chess Academy proudly celebrates the achievements of our youngest participants who performed impressively
Shanthanu (4 years): Scored 3 points and won the Youngest Participant Prize in the Under-7 category! ⭐
Navayugan (5 years): Scored 3.5 points out of 7 rounds in his very first tournament! ⭐
Our little stars have shown remarkable promise and determination. The future of chess is undoubtedly bright with these young talents leading the way! 🌟🏆
Under-11 Boys: Qualifying for Tamil Nadu State Chess Championship
We are elated to announce the stellar performances of our Under-11 players, many of whom qualified directly for the Tamil Nadu State Chess Championship:
Vishwajit: Scored 6.5/8 and secured 5th place, earning a spot in the Tamil Nadu State Chess Championship 2025. 🎉🏆
Jayapriyan: Scored 6.5/8 and secured 6th place, also qualifying for the Tamil Nadu State Chess Championship 2025. 🎉🏆
Other Notable Performances in Under-11 Boys:
- Tharun: Won 9th Prize in the Chennai District Selection Chess Tournament 2025. 🏆🎊👏
- Siddharth S: Scored 5.5/8 and finished 19th.
- Vikunth Krishna: Scored 5.5/8 and finished 22nd.
- Vamsi Raghavan: Scored 5/8 and finished 33rd.
